This design book is the culmination of almost three years of research into and obsession with Rococo style artwork - that is, the woodwork, sculpture, metalwork, decorative painting, and fine art of the late 18th century in Europe, especially France.
It features 26 henna designs inspired by the Rococo aesthetic, ranging from to-the-elbows bridal style to festival-friendly smaller designs. There is a sense of play throughout the collection, and yet also a sense of elegance. Some of the designs sing loudly with a punk spirit, while others are regally or quietly elegant.
This is artist Heather Caunt-Nulton's favorite design collection of her own drawings to date by far, and she hopes you enjoy trying them out even one quarter as much as she enjoyed creating them. Moreover, she hopes you use the introduction and overall collection as a point of inspiration to find your own path, your own unique voice, and your next obsession.
