After "purchasing" this free listing, you'll be able to download a page that has a QR code that you can print on your henna signage, which will take you and your customers to the hosted copy of my 2021 festival design book.
The last few pages of the file are important - scroll through to them and read them first. They're in the back so that customers will hopefully most likely overlook them.
This QR code may change over time, if circumstances necessitate changing the book or moving its location. My goal is to email everyone who has "purchased" this free listing with any updated QR code that may be necessary.
This book is offered to you freely, with no guarantees.
You should still have a backup plan for how to offer designs to people, just in case.
The Back Story
tldr; I've been planning this forever, and am so happy to finally get to share it with you!
I spent the better part of 2020 and early 2021 trying to figure out how to safely offer festival design choices to people in a pandemic... you know, for whenever that weird in-between time came when it was safe to do henna for people again, but it was still prudent to not have tons of different people touching the same surfaces again and again.
Well, it's June 11, 2021, I'm happy to say that that weird in-between time is NOW! I have my first public festival TOMORROW, which has pushed me to really get the solution out there into the world in a final sort of form. I need a contactless design selection method as badly as you do!
I pursued all sorts of options for how to offer designs to clients digitally, including going as so far to enroll in a course in app design and then even hire an app developer to create a really fancy online design book that would only be accessible to the right people who had the right passwords and couldn't be stolen by thieves. However, after many iterations and incarnations of possible solutions, it became clear that a simple option really would be best. If only I could get over this desire to hold my designs so close to the vest, it would make it so much simpler for me, and also my clients. So I've decided to do just that. Rather than keeping this pared-down, smaller contactless / digital version of my festival books top secret, I'm offering it FREELY to ALL henna artists, and of course also all our clients. My hope is that by providing this resource at no cost to my fellow henna artists, I can help the industry bounce back to normal and make up for all this lost time.
If you appreciate this, and want me to do more things like it in the future, I would not say no to any tokens of your appreciation that you might want to send my way at:
